Choosing what type of printing to go with for your first commercial job can be stressful. There are more types of printing than most people realize. So today we are going to go over one of the commonly misunderstood types of commercial printing: Variable Data Printing.

Variable Data Printing (VDP) is a type of digital printing, that utilizes on-demand printing. The document’s elements including text, graphics, and images can be changed from one printed piece to the next without slowing down the printing process. One example of a great use of Variable Data Printing is a set of personalized fliers. They may have the same content, but with a different name and address on each letter. VDP allows you to change that one element, in this case name and address, without slowing down the printing process or experiencing expensive add on costs.Variable data printing is also often used for customer relationship management, advertising, invoicing, brochures and postcard campaigns.
